I am a sole practitioner. Your legal work will always be carried out by me personally. This is my business, so you can depend on me to bring a friendly and helpful approach to our relationship.
I know that you are looking for a solution or a steer from your lawyer – I do not sit on the fence.
I aim to provide all my clients with clear advice and documents, with no unnecessary legalese or jargon.
A good understanding of the commercial picture results in more effective advice, so I always get an understanding of your particular business, objectives and concerns.
Timely response and delivery, and regular updates are key parts of the way I work.
I guarantee clarity and transparency in charging for my services.
Low overheads and efficient practice management mean that my standard rates are set at a very competitive level. For example – I don’t have walls filled with expensive, aging textbooks. Instead, I employ the superior and cheaper option of a dynamically updated specialist legal information service, and use free Google and open source tools where practical, in place of inflexible static proprietary packages. Wherever possible I use Skype. I don’t have a large office with an atrium and aquarium. My wife is a qualified librarian and archivist and helps with my efficient practice management.
I will always provide an estimate of costs and can be flexible on agreeing a charging structure that suits your business, including fixed fees where appropriate.
My practice is backed by an indemnity insurance policy with a limit of £2,000,000.
If you would like to me to help on a legal matter, I would first need to confirm that there is no conflict of interest which prevents me from doing so. We would also need to agree the basis on which I will charge for my services. Following this, I would send you an engagement letter, and we can start work.
